Daisy retains the character and presence of the original period home while introducing a substantial contemporary addition to the rear, together with a new garage, pool and outdoor living spaces.

A significant protected eucalyptus on the neighbouring property influenced the footprint and form of the new work, requiring the addition to respond carefully to its root zone while still creating generous internal spaces and a strong connection to the garden.

The contrast between old and new is deliberate, allowing the original residence to remain clearly legible while the rear addition introduces a more open, contemporary way of living through considered proportion, light and materiality.
