Afton reinterprets the grand French Provincial residence through symmetry, proportion and a carefully ordered language of arches, columns and deeply modelled mouldings. The façade is developed as a sculptural composition, allowing light and shadow to reveal a level of detailing rarely encountered in contemporary Victorian residential work. Bespoke profiles, layered façades and carefully resolved junctions give the residence a strong sense of depth, craft and presence.
